The 102-82 Game 4 victory was an impressive one for the Boston Celtics.

With the win that tied the Eastern Conference Finals, Boston is officially back in the series and has gained momentum:

Jayson Tatum bounced back with a strong Game 4 performance.

Here is how he was in Game 3 compared to the following contest:

Other than the poor performance from 3-point land, Tatum stepped up in Game 4.

He has just one strong game this series in terms of shooting from downtown, and it was in Game 2.

Here are his best 3-point shooting performances in terms of percentage this postseason:

When the series heads back to Miami for Game 5, the Celtics are hoping for more success from Tatum.

If he continues the first-half success, the Celtics should be looking good the rest of the series:

Jayson Tatum has scored 20+ points in the 1st half in 3 of the 4 games in this series.

Over the last 25 years, the only other players with 3 20-point first halves in a single Conference Finals are James Harden and LeBron James. pic.twitter.com/bRR8fGZX0G

That is elite scoring company for the dynamic scorer for the Celtics.

So, how did Boston gain momentum, and what will allow them to keep it up moving forward?

Game 4 was the most lopsided contest thus far in the 2022 Eastern Conference Finals.

The Celtics began the game on an 18-1 run and never looked back.

Miami’s starters barely scored, and both P.J. Tucker and Max Strus went scoreless with each posting plus/minuses of -30 or worse.

Boston also won the free throw and rebound battles by very large margins.

With the impressive victory, the Celtics have taken the momentum in the series.

However, can Robert Williams III be healthy for Game 5?

If he and Al Horford are starting for the upcoming contest, Boston can keep the momentum going.

The Celtics are 2-0 this series when both of the big men play.

It will also be important for Tatum to get to the free throw line.

His 14 makes from the free throw line matched the Heat team in Game 4.

The Celtics’ offense was good enough to tie the series, but it was Boston’s defense that stole the show.

Moving forward, Game 5 will be determined by health and defense.

Miami’s defense carried the team to victory in Game 3.

Even with Jimmy Butler missing the entire second half of Saturday’s contest, the Heat held on to win.

Butler looked like he could not get any lift in Game 4.

Miami was also with Tyler Herro for Monday.

So, will the Heat have all its main rotation players active for Game 5?

It seems like a decent possibility for that to happen.

Meanwhile, the Celtics have both Smart and Williams tagged as questionable.

If either of them is out for Game 5, the Heat definitely have a chance.

The more important of the two may be Williams.

He has deterred Heat shots at the hoop.

We will have to see the injury situation, but it could prove to be another interesting game on Wednesday.
